Kama Chavis

Kama Chavis is a Career Coach on the Career Management team at the W. P. Carey School of Business, supporting students across the West campus portfolio. She partners with undergraduate programs including Accountancy, Applied Supply Chain, Business Administration, Communication, Global Logistics Management, Health Care, Information Security, Language and Culture, Management, Sports Business, Statistics, Sustainability, Applied Business and Technology Solutions, and Entrepreneurial Leadership, as well as the specialized Master’s program in Supply Chain Management.

Kama is committed to helping students identify their strengths and translating their academic experiences into meaningful career opportunities.  She believes career development is a dynamic process of discovery, alignment, and strategic action, where students are empowered to take ownership of their paths and create opportunities that reflect both their goals and their impact.

She brings a multidisciplinary background with experience in Human Resources across supply chain and logistics, staffing, and healthcare, along with roles in higher education, nonprofit arts organizations, performing arts education, and the music industry. Kama holds a Master of Arts in Administration and Supervision (Educator/Trainer) and a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from Montclair State University and is a Certified Student Career Coach (CSCC) through PARWCC.
