As Senior Director for U.S. Practice at the University Design Institute at Arizona State University, Lisa works to advance UDI’s mission to transform higher education by collaborating with colleges, universities and higher education systems across the United States to reimagine, redesign, and rebuild their institutions for greater social and economic impact.
Lisa is an accomplished higher education leader and strategist, with more than 25 years of experience working with boards and leadership teams at institutions of higher education, focusing in the areas of strategic and academic planning, organizational design and change management and performance measurement. Through her affiliation with the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges (AGB), she is currently leading the Council on Higher Education as a Strategic Asset, a multi-stakeholder effort to leverage the strength of the US higher education sector to strengthen the global, competitive position of the United States of America by developing new approaches to higher education policy, funding, and collaboration.
Previously, Lisa served as the Vice President for Planning & Engagement and Chief Strategy Officer at St. Cloud State University (MN) and as the Chancellor’s Fellow for Reimagining Minnesota State, a year-long strategic visioning process designed to rethink system operations and to position the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities system as an interdependent network of colleges and universities that is focused on the success of all students and communities in Minnesota.
