Rebecca Hoppe, Ph.D. is a developmental psychologist and postdoctoral research fellow at the REACH Institute at Arizona State University, supported by the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) T32 Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award. She earned her Ph.D. in developmental psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University, where she also completed an NIH-funded F31 predoctoral fellowship. Dr. Hoppe’s research focuses on how children and families adapt to major life stressors, like the death of a loved one, cancer, and divorce, and how their adaptation influences mental health outcomes over time. Informed by her research, Dr. Hoppe aims to design and disseminate developmentally-informed and evidence-based interventions that are useful, accessible, and sustainable in community settings.
