Adil Ali received his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota in 2015, under the supervision of Paul Garrett. His thesis explored the theory of automorphic forms on GL(4) and extended the work of Bombieri-Garrett to higher rank groups.
From 2017-2024, Adil worked as a Quantitative Analyst and Data Scientist in various industries. This work involved building AI models to predict likelihood of approval for life-insurance applicants (Allianz Life Insurance), as well as building and improving extant models in the Supply-Chain industry, at Kraft-Heinz.
In 2024, Adil returned to his first calling of teaching and began full-time at ASU in Fall 2025.
