With 15 years of experience in healthcare operations, I have always been passionate about ensuring patients receive the care and providing the utmost support to the organization. In 2020, I made a transition into the financial industry which provided me with valuable insights into financial transactions and regulatory compliance, further strengthening my ability to manage complex systems which also critical in the healthcare industry. However, my true calling has always been in healthcare and is why I made the decision to return to school and complete my degree in Healthcare Compliance & Regulation at Arizona State University. This decision is extremely personal. In 2010, I began pursuing a degree in Health Information Technology in my home state, but a car accident during my fall semester and an out-of-state move disrupted my education. Despite these setbacks, I remained determined, successfully completing that semester and continuing my career in healthcare operations. Now I am committed to finishing what I started, not just for career advancement but as a personal commitment to resilience and growth.
I have been involved in causes including supporting breast cancer survivors and raising awareness by participating in the 6000 Sisters, 6000 Steps for Hope Breast Cancer Walk for two years and organizing to raise funds for the cause. I have participated in the Alzheimer's Association's Walk multiple times over the last 12 years. In addition to my professional contributions, I shared knowledge with colleagues, friends, and family helping others navigate areas relative to the experience I have gained in both industries. My guidance has helped others boost their confidence, be more informed and advocate for themselves.
