Colonel Flood is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany, has Master’s Degrees from American Military University and the US Army War College. He is an Infantry Officer, Joint Planner and Army Strategist.
Colonel Flood’s key assignments include serving as Platoon Leader, G Co. 143d IN (Long Range Surveillance) Houston TX, Aide de Camp, CG 49th Armored Division, Austin TX, Commander, Commander, Support Co., 2nd Bn, 20th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Bagram AFG. As a field grade officer, his assignments include Operations Officer 3rd Squadron, 124th Cavalry, Wylie TX, Personnel Recovery Instructor, Austin TX, Executive Officer, 3rd Squadron 124th Cavalry, Ghazni AFG, Brigade Operations Officer, 71st Battlefield Surveillance BDE, San Antonio TX, Commander 1st Squadron 124th Cavalry, Waco TX, Deputy Commander 136th Regiment (Regional Training Institute), Austin TX and Joint Military Faculty, Joint Forces Staff College, Norfolk, VA. After a tour as Chief of Operations, National Military Command Center at the Pentagon, Washington DC, COL Flood commanded the 1st Brigade “Tomahawks”, 86th Training Division. COL Flood retired from the Army in 2023.

Colonel Flood hails from Dublin, Ireland, lives in Silver Spring, MD and is married to Mrs. Jack Frost of Shropshire, England and has two grown sons. He retired from the Army in 2023
