Bio
An Oregon native, Judith Van has been at Arizona State University since 1984. Her undergraduate degree is in studio art and her MFA is in Fiction. Van was one of the first teachers in ASU's Computers and Composition program, now entitled Computer Mediated Communication. She teachs four classes per term, three in the computer classroom. When she is not working with students or grading papers, she paints, rides her horse, Maggie Mae, and is finishing a novel. Another of her passions is film and film studies. One of her greatest pleasures is sharing with students her love of art and writing through her work with the Arizona Commission on the Arts.
