Alexy Aviles

Dr. Alexy Avilés is a board-certified periodontist with over 25 years of experience in clinical dental practice. He earned his Master of Science in Periodontology from the University of Texas, following a General Practice Residency. He completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the University of Puerto Rico. A Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, Dr. Avilés currently practices at Meyerland Periodontal in Houston, where he provides comprehensive periodontal care, advanced surgical procedures, and dental implant placement.

Throughout his career, Dr. Avilés has remained deeply engaged in professional development. He is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, and the Hispanic Dental Association. His dedication is demonstrated by his attendance at 28 consecutive AAP Annual Meetings and numerous International Symposia on Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry.

Dr. Avilés is passionate about mentoring the next generation of dental professionals. He emphasizes the importance of patient education, preventive care, and evidence-based practice in both his clinical work and his teaching.
