B.S. Human Development and Family Science, Texas State University, 2025
My research interests explore how social relationships support positive coping skills and resilience for children experiencing stress. Particularly, this may look at how relationships within the parent-child, sibling, and peer context impact abilities to operate and cope (both emotionally and physiologically) within these stressful situations. I explore stress in different contexts, but the one I am most passionate about is hospitalization and illness.
Guiding topics in my research include: coping skills, emotional and physiological regulation, parent-child relationships, sibling relationships, peer relationships, stress and stress appraisal, developmental outcomes, hospitalization and illness, dyadic processes, and resilience.
