Long Bio
Kimia Lavasani is a doctoral student in the Law and Psychology program at Arizona State University. Her research focuses on how attorneys question youth in sex abuse or exploitation cases, with an emphasis on the developmental appropriateness and complexity of attorney questioning in court. She is particularly interested in how variations in question type and structure affect children’s accuracy, narrative productivity, and perceived credibility by legal decision-makers.
