Elizabeth (Beth) Jones received a master’s degree in mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin and a Ph.D. in learning and instructional technology from ASU, where she did research in cooperative learning. She has been teaching at ASU since 1990. Jones’ teaching focus has been in First Year Mathematics courses with an emphasis on College Mathematics (the liberal studies mathematics course). She have been coordinator of this course for the last several years. She has also been a member of the Grader/IA committee. Jones is also the recipient of the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences Award for Outstanding Instruction and Service.
