Long Bio
Ari Mistry is a first year Geography PhD student interested in human and animal behaviors and coexistence. She is originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan in Environmental Studies and Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience.
Prior to graduate school, Ari worked as a lab manager for the Emory University APE Lab. She co-led a project on reproductive senescence in tufted capuchins, and managed long-term health data from the Gombe Stream chimpanzees. At ASU, Ari now studies urban human-carnivore interactions in four U.S. cities with a focus on coyotes and raccoons.
