Dr. Edwin Schottenstein is a board-certified ophthalmologist, educator, and innovator with a distinguished career spanning clinical practice, mentorship, and research. A graduate of Stanford University with a degree in Human Biology, he began his academic journey at Tulane University before transferring to Stanford, where he studied under President Donald Kennedy and explored interdisciplinary approaches to science and public health. He has trained and mentored over 800 residents and fellows at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai and NYU Medical Center, many of whom have gone on to become leaders in ophthalmology.
Dr. Schottenstein is known for his expertise in advanced surgical techniques, patient-centered care, and his commitment to integrating technology and design into medical practice. His current pursuit of a Master of Architecture at Arizona State University reflects his vision of merging medical insight with architectural innovation to create healing, equitable healthcare environments that promote well-being for all.
