William (Bill) Westlake serves as the Assistant Director for Finance
and Administration, which includes oversight of financial accounting,
budgeting, internal auditing, purchasing, payroll and human
resources. He came to ASU in 2002 after a 25-year career in
the private sector, serving in various controller/financial management
positions in the manufacturing, travel and leisure, heavy equipment
sales and service, and wholesale/retail trade industries.
Bill graduated from Arizona State University with a BS in Accounting,
and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of
the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA),
Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA), and the
Association of Government Accountants (AGA)
“I strive to make a contribution to PTS, and to the university
as a whole, through scrupulous management of the department’s
finances. Because PTS is a self-funded auxiliary department, I
recognize the importance of tracking revenue and expenses to ensure
that the department operates with integrity and within its budget in
order to continue funding the many services PTS provides to the ASU community.”
