Lucy Chioma Aniagolu is an award-winning education project manager, agribusiness educator, and founder of Agrodemy Technologies—Africa’s first free online agribusiness school. With over seven years of experience leading education and vocational training projects across Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa, she has developed scalable learning programs focused on digital skills, agribusiness development, and entrepreneurship for youth and women. Her academic and professional interests lie at the intersection of digital learning, open education, and economic empowerment through contextualized curriculum design.
Through her leadership at Agrodemy, Lucy has designed over 40 agribusiness courses and built training partnerships with consultants, farmers, and development agencies to reach learners across rural and peri-urban Africa. She has led teams to implement technology-enabled training for over 3,000 youths and women. She also works on bridging learning with access to funding—designing innovative models that link certification to agribusiness loans and tools.
Lucy served as Project Manager for a $120,000 BMZ- and Siemens Stiftung-funded vocational training initiative in Lagos, Nigeria, where she co-created 12 digital and technical skills courses, onboarded over 200 youth into job placement pipelines, and collaborated with over 50 organizations. She has worked with both public and nonprofit organizations, such as SMEDAN, MTN Foundation, UN-supported groups, and Nigerian universities, to scale entrepreneurship education and agritech literacy.
Her work has earned her multiple recognitions including the Orange Corners Education Entrepreneur Award (Netherlands), the Grooming Endowment Trust Startup Grant, and the International Breweries Foundation Grant for Education Projects. She has spoken on global platforms like the World Seed Forum (Netherlands), AGRA’s AFS Forum (Rwanda & Tanzania), and the US Consulate's Climate Action & Education Series.
In addition to her technical and project management skills, Lucy is a passionate advocate for open education, indigenous knowledge systems, and context-driven digital pedagogy. She is committed to transforming African learning systems to meet the needs of modern learners, particularly those in agrifood systems and vocational sectors. She currently lives in Kigali, Rwanda, while studying remotely and managing her pan-African education projects.
Her long-term vision is to create inclusive, scalable, and financially sustainable learning systems that bridge the gap between skills development and income generation for underserved populations across Africa.
