Nahid Hossain

Dr. Nahid Hossain is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Information Systems in W. P. Carey School of Business. Prior to joining ASU, he was an MIS faculty at Lamar University. He received his PhD from C. T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. During his PhD, he also served as a Teaching Fellow at the Department of Decision and Information Sciences at UH.

Besides his academic degrees, Dr. Hossain has certifications in Cluster Computing, Programming (i.e., R, Python, & Julia), Data Visualization (i.e., ParaView, PowerBI, Excel, & Tableau), Data Management, Advanced Excel, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning.

Dr. Hossain has taught classes in Database Management, Java Programming, Business Intelligence, and Analytics. 

Dr. Hossain's research focuses on Knowledge Management, Healthcare, AI Ethics, and Philosophy of Science. His current research investigates the effectiveness of different digital tools (e.g., ChatGPT) in influencing the knowledge and skills of individuals (e.g., healthworkers). He also aims to examine how theory in Philosophy of Science can be used to explain the ground truth in AI.
