Emergency Management, Risk Communication, Trust in Government
Professor Robinson has two major research projects underway:
A] Trust, Risk Communication, and Household Preparedness
This project assesses the linkages between an individual's trust in government (or specific administrative agencies), an individual's reception of risk communications, and the actions individuals intend to take to protect themselves from hazards.
B] Emergency Management Capacity
This new project maps the capacity of local emergency management to identify gaps in preparedness -- especially with the prospect of a significant withdrawal of federal funding through FEMA.
