As Senior Research Analyst, Gershwin manages our Organizational Learning efforts to help our team learn intentionally, rigorously, and collectively. He develops internal systems and processes for organizational learning and conducts qualitative and quantitative analyses to support team learning, innovation, and continuous improvement. Gershwin is also a Strategic Data Project Fellow, a program of the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University.
Gershwin comes to Next Education Workforce with experience conducting academic research, leading complex research and strategy projects at Teach For America, and working as a coach to new teachers in the Bronx. He started his career as an elementary school teacher in Arkansas. Gershwin holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Northwestern University, a Master’s degree from the Education Policy and Social Analysis department at Teachers College, Columbia University, and a B.A. from Williams College.
