Jennifer Woods leads human-centered storytelling for ASU’s Learning Enterprise, helping people turn their curiosity into new possibilities through learning at any age or stage. She builds multi-channel content ecosystems that strengthen discovery, clarity and engagement, guided by the belief that access to education begins with understanding.
With more than two decades in content strategy, Jennifer has shaped narratives across higher education, public health, public media and the arts. She has also worked in local food systems, reflecting her commitment to community well-being.
Before joining ASU, she led the copywriting team for the in-house creative agency of a $5B national higher-education services organization. There, she shaped enrollment and retention messaging for hundreds of academic programs at its flagship university and for accelerated nursing pathways at more than 20 partner institutions. Her work earned ADDY and American Marketing Association Spectrum Awards and contributed to greater clarity, consistency, and growth across the organization.
Her background also includes serving as marketing and communications lead for a regional arts and culture publisher in Arizona, where she helped launch an award-winning digital arts platform that was recognized by Phoenix Magazine. She also supported the organization’s print portfolio, including theater programs for venues such as ASU Gammage.
She brings experience developing messaging for Los Angeles County Department of Public Health campaigns and, earlier in her career, she managed and wrote on-air and digital sponsor messages for KJZZ/NPR, KBACH Classical, and PRX podcasts in the Phoenix market.
She also contributed more than 300 arts articles to Phoenix New Times while overseeing communications for Crooked Sky Farms, a grower focused on community-supported agriculture (CSA) programs across Arizona. This work contributed to the farm winning the ASU President’s Award for Sustainability. Building on that experience, she later co-founded the Uptown Farmers Market, helping establish one of the region’s most visible community food hubs.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Arizona.
