Integrative Sciences & Arts
I was born and raised on the Eastside of Detroit, a place that taught me how to survive, stay strong, and believe in something greater than my circumstances As a Black Deaf man, I've faced barriers that often felt designed to hold me back -- from being understood to being underestimated by a system that rarely gives young Black men a fair chance to rise. I've also faced challenges between the Hearing and Deaf worlds, where I often found limited opportunities to grow and mature. Because of that, I had to push forward on my own terms, guided by my own vision -- truly becoming self-made. Through these struggles, I discovered the power of Faith, discipline, and perseverance. These experiences shaped my determination to pursue Organizational Leadership at Arizona State University, where I aim to gain the knowledge and tools to empower diverse youth to stand firm in who they are, walk by Faith even when the path isn't visible, and transform obstacles into opportunities for growth and leadership.
