Kimberly Kochanoff, DMSc, PA-C, DFAAPA serves as an Academic Associate at Arizona State University. She brings more than two decades of experience as a practicing physician assistant and educator, with clinical expertise in family medicine and extensive academic leadership experience, including service as Director of Clinical Education.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Practice from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2002. In 2023, Dr. Kochanoff completed her Doctor of Medical Science degree at A.T. Still University, where her doctoral work focused on leadership and workforce development for physician assistants in community health centers.
Her teaching involves evidence-based practice for physician assistants and research for healthcare professionals, with an emphasis on developing critical thinking, scholarly inquiry, and clinically relevant research skills. Dr. Kochanoff’s professional interests center on preparing compassionate, community-minded healthcare professionals who are equipped to serve and lead in diverse healthcare settings.
Outside of her academic and clinical work, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
