Research Interests

My research is grounded in an intersectional framework, examining how overlapping systems of inequality interact to influence adolescents’ and young adults’ experiences of well-being, victimization, and social relationships. I investigate how identities such as gender, sexual orientation, and ethnicity intersect to influence exposure to bias-based and gender-based violence, including in digital contexts. A central focus of my work is on sexual and gender minority youth, with particular attention to stigma, internalized processes, and the role of social and institutional environments. Methodologically, I employ intersectionality-informed mixed-methods approaches to capture the complexity of lived experiences across diverse populations.
