Long Bio
A proud transfer student specializing in Health Care Coordination with an emphasis on Health Innovation at Arizona State University. My academic pursuit is deeply rooted in a desire for community service and advocacy, fueled by my own journey through the healthcare system.
I currently bring professional experience from my work in Enrollment & Retention for Medicaid beneficiaries in California. However, my goal is to transition from services delivered over the phone to personal engagement—educating, empowering, and advocating for care in underrepresented communities. My lived experience with chronic care and recovery has given me unique insight into the disparities in care, knowledge, and motivation that too often hinder proper diagnosis and treatment.
After achieving sobriety and developing strong life principles, I am committed to giving back what was freely given to me, hoping to impart motivation and life skills that promote self-support (mentally, physically, spiritually, and economically). I am actively learning to 'get out of my own way' while pursuing this dream.
Outside of my core health studies, I have discovered a strong, unexpected academic interest in Geology. This discipline, which I began studying last spring, now provides a valuable pursuit in balance to my academic load. I enjoy exploring with a map to identify specific rock and mineral formations—a hobby that blends intellectual curiosity with practical outdoor adventure.
