Sara West is an operations coordinator for the Circular Plastic Microfactory with the Rob and Melanie Walton Sustainability Solutions Service. She is responsible for testing and analysis to ensure that products meet safety, quality, and performance standards, along with regular operations.
Sara has a background in polymer science and engineering with a focus on minimizing waste through improved recycling processes and biodegradable plastics. Prior to her current role, Sara was a student at Texas A$M University and a lab technician in the Polymer Technology Center under Dr. HJ Sue, researching biodegradable, polyhydroxyalkanoate plastics and engineering applications of polymers.
