Long Bio
Hieu is a Medical Doctor from Vietnam specializing in Preventive Medicine and Public Health. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Population Health at Arizona State University in Downtown Phoenix, Arizona, USA.
His research experience spans national and international collaborative studies, including projects funded by the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), in diverse research areas related to HIV, substance use disorders, mental health, healthcare access, and social and behavioral health. Through these experiences, he has developed strong skills in public health research methodologies, quantitative analysis, and interdisciplinary collaboration. He wants to continue advancing his expertise in public and population health research and to strengthen his proficiency in diverse research methodologies.
Hieu's long-term goal is to become a principal investigator leading innovative, contextually relevant, and high-impact research that contributes to evidence-based policy and solutions to improve health outcomes and expand access to care, particularly for vulnerable and underserved populations.
