Dr. Darren Wright has worked in the field of forensic science for over twenty years in both public and private laboratories. His area of expertise is Forensic Biology/DNA and over his career he has held the positions of laboratory technician, criminalist, forensic scientist, DNA analyst, DNA technical lead, supervisor, and quality assurance manager. Dr. Wright has testified as a court qualified expert witness more than fifty times in a variety of jurisdictions across the country, including in the states of Arizona, California, Florida, Idaho and Texas. In his positions he has trained other forensic scientists, given presentations at professional meetings, and co-authored publications, all while being involved in completing forensic DNA casework. For five years Dr. Wright also taught graduate level courses in the Master of Forensic Sciences graduate program at National University in both face-to-face and online formats. He taught a course titled “Advanced Forensic Serology and DNA” which was in-person on campus in San Diego, California and an online course titled “Advanced Criminalistics”. He also served on thesis committees for students completing their graduate degree at National University.
