Long Bio
Caitlin Wiley is a PhD student in sustainable energy. Her research interests include understanding the social and policy barriers to deploying renewable energy generation in the United States and Latin America. Before beginning her doctoral studies, Caitlin worked on several federal sustainability initiatives at the Millennium Challenge Corporation, the White House Council on Environmental Quality, and the U.S. Agency for International Development. She also worked as a research assistant at the Wilson Center for Scholars, and held a role focused on language and culture training programs for the U.S. Department of Defense. Caitlin received her BA in Global & International Studies and Spanish from Western Michigan University and her MA in Global Environmental Policy from American University. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, Ultimate frisbee, gardening, rock climbing, and spending time with her husband and dog.
