Saúl Holguin De La Cruz, is a Hepatitis C Project Coordinator at SIRC where he helps people living with Hepatitis C access curative treatment. As a long time Arizona resident, Saúl graduated from Arizona State University (ASU) with a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology. While a student at ASU, he worked with populations living with immense health disparities in Arizona and internationally; this education in and out of the classroom spurred his passion for public health. Since ASU, Saúl's career, spanning both coasts, has focused on harm reduction and expanding access to Hepatitis C testing and treatment. Some of his experience includes working as a Hepatitis C Patient Navigator for the Maricopa County Public Health Department, as an Overdose Prevention Specialist for Sonoran Prevention Works, and as a Community Engagement Coordinator for BOOM!Healthcare. In his spare time, he loves to explore food and travel, especially to his Nana’s motherland: Mexico.
