Raised in Santa Maria, California, Lizzie is a first-generation Indigenous/Latina social worker whose commitment to community is rooted in education, mentorship, and culturally responsive practice. Her work has taken her from college access programs in California to school-based social work in the South Bronx, and later to nonprofit healthcare spaces focused on expanding access and reducing disparities for underserved communities.
Across each role, Lizzie has remained grounded in relationships. She brings experience supporting first-generation students, immigrant families, Indigenous and Latinx communities, and young people navigating systems that were not always built with them in mind.
