Jerchern Lin is a Clinical Associate Professor of Finance in the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. He has taught investments, fixed income securities, risk management, FinTech, insurance, and reinsurance at several universities. Before earning his PhD, he worked in the financial industry in the United States, Japan, and Taiwan, with experience in structured products, derivatives, risk analytics, quantitative modeling, and sales and trading. He holds the CFA and FRM designations. His research on investment funds, tail risk, and market anomalies includes work published in the Journal of Finance. His current research and teaching focus on how artificial intelligence is changing financial practice and education, with an emphasis on hands-on applications informed by his academic and industry experience.
