Long Bio
Bill Lewis joined Arizona State University in 1965 and became the founding chair of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in the fall of 1980. He assumed the role of associate dean of the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences in the fall of 1985. In July 1993, he accepted the position of vice provost for information technology. Lewis assumed the position of Chief Information Officer and vice provost in January of 2003 and continued in that position until June 2006. Lewis is currently CIO Emeritus Professor in the School of Computing, Informatics and Decision Systems Engineering at ASU.
