I received Ph. D. in Psychology from Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Poland. After founding in 1978 the Department of Social Psychology at University of Silesia, Poland, I chaired it for several years while supervising 8 doctoral students who subsequently received Ph. D. My research referred to social psychology issues in the organizational context. It resulted - among others - in textbook publication (in Polish) "Management in organizations from the social psychology perspective" (1986). After immigrating to the USA in 1990, I began teaching at Arizona State University West where I am employed until present. Courses include social psychology, cross-cultural psychology (which I introduced to this Campus’ Curriculum), organizational behavior and environmental psychology. My most notable teaching contribution is the elaboration and subsequently introduction to ASU Curriculum (in 2004) of The Minor in Interdisciplinary Organizational Studies. I continue supporting it as a program coordinator. My more recent publications incorporate "The practice of social influence in multiple culturesâ€, in English, 2001, Lawrence Erlbaum Associates, 2001 (with Cialdini, Barrett, Reykowski, Eds.), Psychology of social life (in Polish, 2004, GWP), and Faces of globalization (in Polish, 2007, Smak Slowa).
