Precious Bennett is a licensed master social worker (LMSW), therapist, and academic associate in the School of Social Work at Arizona State University (ASU). Before joining ASU, Precious worked with Catholic Charities as a Refugee Health Advocate, where she supported asylum seekers and refugees by coordinating emergency medical care and providing client rights education and training to clients and healthcare providers.
With experience in micro- and mezzo-level social work practice, Precious has worked with diverse and underserved populations across a variety of settings. These experiences have shaped her holistic approach to social work and provide a strong foundation for connecting classroom learning to real-world practice. She enjoys drawing from her professional experiences to help students develop practical skills, think critically, and recognize the strengths they bring to the social work profession.
As a proud first-generation graduate, Precious earned her graduate degrees from ASU and values the opportunity to support students as they navigate their own educational journeys. She is passionate about creating inclusive, positive, and welcoming learning environments where students feel seen, supported, and encouraged to grow.
In recognition of her commitment to students, Precious was nominated for the ASU Supporting Student Success Award in 2024.
