Bennett is a licensed master social worker (LMSW) and an academic associate for the School of Social Work at Arizona State University (ASU). Before joining ASU, she was the refugee health advocate at Catholic Charities. Bennett’s unique background in hospital settings, outpatient, and non-profit sectors has allowed her to create a holistic approach to social work for students.
Bennett earned an undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Family Studies and Communications and a Master's in Social Work (MSW) from ASU. As a proud ASU alumni, Bennett has a strong connection to the Southwest and has served as a field supervisor for ASU. She’s passionate about creating an inclusive and safe space for students navigating their educational journey in today’s world. In 2020, she was nominated for Outstanding Faculty Mentor by ASU.
