Rick Beitman obtained his MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, where he
specialized in marketing, and received certificates in business communications and conflict
mediation. At Thunderbird, he studied abroad in the Czech Republic and attended an emerging
markets seminar in Kenya. As an undergraduate at Arizona State University, Rick earned
degrees in political science, with a certificate in international studies, and French.
Rick joins the J. Orin Edson Entrepreneurship + Innovation Institute as Program Coordinator Sr
for the YE Operations team. His duties will include forging and maintaining relationships with
external stakeholders, vendors, faculty, and staff; execution of procurement and delivery
processes for YE programs; as well as additional logistics and activities in support of Edson
objectives.
Rick believes entrepreneurship is imagining what is possible. Entrepreneurs are motivated,
independent, think critically, and see obstacles as opportunities for growth and change.
Entrepreneurship creates value from scarce resources, generates solutions to problems, and
ideates a better future.
