Kimberly is an experienced educator with a passion for designing historical curricula and engaging with learners. She brings these passions to her role as Online Course Manager/Stack Leader for History at Arizona State University’s Learning Enterprise.
In her role at ASU’s Learning Enterprise, and in her previous 11 years as a public school educator and Teach for America alumna, Kimberly has devoted her career to improving educational outcomes for people at all stages of life. As an AP and Dual Enrollment history teacher, Kimberly made college level material accessible to diverse student populations. She designed innovative and engaging curriculums, utilized data and feedback to improve student outcomes, built meaningful relationships with learners, collaborated with stakeholders, and designed professional learning opportunities for fellow educators. She believes in facilitating a course environment in which students of all backgrounds and experience levels feel comfortable and capable tackling difficult academic content and meeting their learning goals.
Kimberly grew up in Tempe, Arizona and attended Arizona State University for her bachelor’s degrees. After spending time living in Edinburgh, Scotland and Chicago, Illinois, she is excited to have come full circle, moving back home to Tempe and working at ASU. She loves to read and visit her favorite bookstore/former employer, Changing Hands. She also enjoys swimming and playing freeze dance with her toddlers, and traveling with her husband and family.
