Laura Gonzales-Macias, Ph.D., serves as Program Director of Proactive Campaigns in the Office of the Dean, University College at Arizona State University. In this role, she leads the strategic planning, organization, and implementation of college-wide proactive outreach campaigns aimed at supporting student success. Gonzales-Macias has an extensive background in higher education and student services, including her historic appointment as the first female Director of ASU's American Indian Student Support Services. She holds both a master's and a doctorate in Educational Psychology from ASU and is a certified School Psychologist, recognized by the Arizona Department of Education. Her professional passions are deeply rooted in family and community. She is particularly interested in the factors influencing student achievement, multiculturalism, and leadership development.
