As the Director of Online Curriculum and Digital Innovation, Gloria assists in overseeing The College's robust online ecosystem to create outstanding online opportunities for students, and dedicates her time to helping units prepare, launch, scale, and maintain their online programs. Much of this is accomplished by working closely with EdPlus, the Learning Enterprise, and the various units within The College.
Born and raised in Tempe, AZ, Gloria is a proud 3rd generation Sun Devil, having graduated from Arizona State University with a BS Psychology. In 2008, she started her career in online higher education at the University of Phoenix. While at the University of Phoenix, she continued her educational career, earning two master's degrees: Masters of Arts in Education - Adult Education and Training, and Masters of Arts in Education - Curriculum and Instruction.
As a former Instructional Designer at the University of Phoenix, she developed online and traditional face-to-face curriculum for a diverse and worthy set of learners often facing various educational risk factors.
As a former Instructional Designer at Arizona State University - Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College, she focused on creating effective, engaging, and efficient instruction for a wide variety of projects; including but not limited to; the Professional Learning Library, Sanford Inspire Program, faculty training, and the Office of Clinical Experience.
She lives in Mesa, AZ with her husband, Daniel, a Registered ICU/Trauma Nurse, and their two daughters, Taylor (10) and Jordan (8). She is also a proficient scorpion slayer.
