Long Bio
Jeremy Venema teaches technical writing and has also taught classes in written composition, creative writing, linguistics, and literary studies. He is an Arizona native, an avid reader, and a writer across many disciplines and genres. He has also worked as a corporate trainer, a community relations coordinator, an editor, and a high school teacher, for which he received no danger pay. His technical writing classes emphasize the importance of understanding the rhetorical situation (author identity, audience, purpose, and genre) for a specific piece of writing and how that situation influences everything about the document, from content to organization and presentation.
