Research on Artura (2020-21), Artura.org Database and Learning.Artura.org. A cross-curricular and cross-cultural learning project. This project consist of a website and teacher guide of the collection of Multicultural Art from Brandywine archives (over 1700 images). Maintains a permanent collection of selected prints in the ASU Art Museum. The focus of the Teacher Guide is to encourage professors of pre-licensure teachers and current classroom teachers (K-12) to use Artura.org as a primary resource for advancing multiculturalism in the curriculum.Currently materials are being tested in my art education classes. This is part of the virtual Institute for Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity in Education and the Arts (IIDEE).

The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, presents Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power, featuring work by more than 60 Black artists that was created over two revolutionary decades in American history. 

The exhibition, organized by Tate Modern in London, was slated to open at the MFAH in April, but it was delayed because of the pandemic lockdown at the previous venue in San Francisco, the de Young Museum. Soul of a Nation is on view in Houston from June 27 through August 30, 2020 as the final presentation of the three-year tour.

Visit Soul of a Nation at The Broad, Los Angeles. 2019

The Broad’s presentation of Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power 1963-1983, organized by the Tate Modern, London will be on view March 23 to September 1, 2019. I am honored to be part of this exhibition showing Wall of Consciousness, 1972. I would like to visit the exhibition and continue to study its contents along with studying African American and Cultural diverse artists at The Los Angeles County Museum of Art. This research will bring new ideas and historical information that will add to my ongoing research, professional development and support the content of my course on Multicultural Issues in art Education.
