Amber Back is the senior director of events for the ASU Foundation. She manages and oversees philanthropic special events for ASU President’s Club, ASU Women and Philanthropy, the ASU Foundation Board of Directors and ASU Foundation football-related initiatives. In addition, Back oversees special events that involve and recognize high-level donors of Arizona State University.
Prior to the ASU Foundation, Back was with the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication and Arizona PBS where she served as director of events. Her event portfolio included the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism, Arizona PBS KIDS Day, convocation ceremonies and the weekly speaker series Must See Mondays. Prior to Cronkite and AZ PBS, Back was the event program manager for the ASU Foundation where she planned philanthropic events including the Campaign ASU 2020 kickoff event. She has also worked for the Greater Phoenix Chamber, Milwaukee Brewers and Phoenix Suns Charities. Back holds a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and a professional certification in event management from the Events Industry Council.
