Dr. Sarah Blechacz is a passionate educator and transformational leader in science education, committed to ensuring all students have access to high-quality, engaging learning experiences. As the K-12 Science Curriculum Coordinator for the Wauwatosa School District in Wisconsin, she has led system-wide change, reimagining science instruction, curriculum, and professional learning to create more equitable and impactful learning environments for all students. A proud three-time graduate of Arizona State University, she earned her Ed.D. in Leadership and Innovation (2018), M.Ed. in Secondary Education (2011), and B.S. in Kinesiology (2009). With experience as a STEM Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Science Department Chair, and High School Science Teacher, fostering student-centered learning environments where curiosity thrives has remained the cornerstone of her work in every role she has held. Beyond her leadership roles, Dr. Blechacz influences science education policy through her involvement in Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction workgroups and committees. She frequently presents at conferences, expanding her community of practice while sharing insights on leading systemic change and improving access to high-quality science education.
