Deborah Henderson retired in May, 2016. She was with the School of Social Transformation since 2001 and was promoted to senior lecturer in 2013. She served as the faculty advisor for several student organizations, including the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML), and Students for a Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP). Over the years, Henderson has been nominated for the University’s “Last Lecture Series,” the “University Dean’s Distinguished Teaching Award,” the “The Fifteenth Annual Student Affairs Tribute to Faculty and Academic Professionals” in the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, the “ASU Centennial Professorship Award,” “Outstanding Instructor/Lecturer Award” in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and twice was given a “Teaching Excellence Award” in the Featured Faculty Program, and an “Outstanding Professor Award” in the School of Social Transformation.
