Chelle Brookes serves as the Curriculum Support Manager for the Rob Walton School of Conservation Futures, where her work is guided by a deep belief in the power of education to shape a more regenerative and compassionate world. An ASU alumna with a degree in Anthropology, Chelle has spent her career helping academic communities thrive—supporting the systems, people, and ideas that give rise to meaningful learning and discovery.
Over her 18 years at Arizona State University, she has worked alongside faculty, staff, and researchers across multiple schools and institutes, contributing to everything from curriculum development to transformative research initiatives. Through each role, she has been driven by a shared goal: creating environments where students and scholars can imagine bold solutions and pursue work that matters.
Originally from Calgary, Alberta, and a longtime resident of Tempe, Chelle is deeply inspired by the intersection of humanity and the natural world. She believes that restoring our relationship with nature—built on reciprocity, stewardship, and respect—is essential for a just and sustainable future. Her commitment to conservation and sustainability is grounded in the conviction that every action we take today should help future generations flourish.
In her role at the School of Conservation Futures, Chelle is excited to support programs and partnerships that empower students to become changemakers—individuals who see the world as it is, envision what it could be, and dare to help build it.
