Long Bio
Steven D. Osburn is the acting Director of BEACON (Study Abroad Programs for the Fulton Schools of Engineering) and an Associate Teaching Professor in the School of Computing and Augmented Intelligence (SCAI) at Arizona State University. He leads efforts to expand global learning opportunities for engineering students, fostering cross-cultural collaboration, academic enrichment, and professional development through international programs and partnerships.
In addition to directing BEACON, Steven serves as Capstone Coordinator for CSE/CS, Course Coordinator for CSE 230 and CSE 259, and ABET Coordinator for the Computer Science and Engineering program. His work bridges curriculum design, accreditation, and experiential education to advance student success and global engagement within the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering.
Steven was also recognized as one of the inaugural recipients of the Fulton Schools Mosaic Award (2025) for his commitment to diversity, inclusion, and global impact within engineering education. Read more about the award here.
