Long Bio
Rebecca Reining is an Arizona native and ASU alumna, graduating from the School of Art with a BA in Studio Art. After earning her BFA from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, she returned to the Phoenix metro area and designed custom home furnishings and formalwear for several years before rejoining ASU. Rebecca has several years of experience in student support and program coordination, beginning her career in higher education as a coordinator at ASU University Housing in 2008. In 2012 she transitioned to Counseling and Counseling Psychology where she first coordinated the Counselor Training Center and later moved over to graduate student advising and program coordination. Most recently she served as manager of graduate programs at the School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning. In 2020 she completed her MEd in Learning Design and Technologies at Mary Lou Fulton Teacher’s College. Her role as an instructional designer in Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions returns her to her creative roots and allows her to continue supporting programs, faculty, and students that are dedicated to serving the public good.
