Mishara Cruz; Project Manager – Learning Experience Designer – Next Education Workforce Initiative
As the Project Manager for Learning Experience Design, Mishara is dedicated to creating inclusive learning environments that cater to the diverse needs and backgrounds of all learners. In her role, Mishara navigates multiple complex projects for the Next Education Workforce's Launch Services and supports the development and management of the High-Impact Tutoring Micro-credential and other Next Education Workforce micro-credentials.
During her first two years as a program manager with the Next Education Workforce, Mishara played a pivotal role in the Arizona Community Educator Initiative, where she developed training and resources to enhance the skills of community educators across the state. She curated and reviewed bespoke content for the Community Educator Learning Hub, led the development of the High-Impact Tutoring Micro-credential, and assisted in building professional learning communities to support educators in deepening and personalizing their learning.
Prior to joining Arizona State University, Mishara served as a Visual Arts Teacher at Grayhawk Elementary in the Paradise Valley School District for three years. There, she developed transdisciplinary curricula that supported student learning across all subject areas. Additionally, Mishara held the position of Creative Manager of Ignite Yoga Studios, where she oversaw studio branding and website development, as well as the coordination of both synchronous and asynchronous events.
With over six years of teaching experience in grades K-12, Mishara has taught visual arts and served as a sixth-grade classroom teacher in various local and international demographics. She began her BA in Art Education at Arizona State University and graduated from Northern Arizona University. She also holds an MA in Liberal Studies with a focus on Film & Media from Arizona State University.
