Christie Martin is an Academic Success Coordinator Sr. at Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College. Her primary focus is to support a team of advisors that provide exceptional, human centered service to graduate students pursuing a master's degree in special education (applied behavioral analysis). She is committed to lifelong learning and strives to find opportunities for personal and professional development.
Christie, a native of the pacific northwest, relocated to Arizona in 2015. She comes with several years experience working in private, public, and non-profit education and has a fondness for working within the higher education realm. Her interest was sparked working in the international department at Saint Martin’s University while earning her master’s degree in counseling.
Most recently, she advised graduate students at Thunderbird School of Global Management. Other work experience includes managing the Portland Kaplan Test Prep center, leading a team of early childhood educators at Centralia College, and supporting/advocating for young adults with barriers to attain self-sufficiency through education and workforce development.
In her free time Christie enjoys reading, hiking, kickboxing, watching movies, and exploring the region around Arizona with her family. She also loves to travel internationally and has hosted international exchange students from several countries.
