Management certificate. She is a member of the Arizona
Association of Governmental Accountants.
">Current Role
As the Business Manager, Sr. at Parking and Transit Services, Karen
manages the flow of purchasing paperwork, which includes the
development and management of policies and procedures which are in
place to ensure the department complies with university
regulations. Karen hires and manages staff and oversees and
expedites the completion of financial reconciliations, among other tasks.
">Customer Service Philosophy
"Because of the nature of the work we do in the Financial
Management unit at PTS, we do not directly interact with students
or outside customers. However, because the work we do supports
the University, our customer is the entire University
community. By enabling my staff to provide the most
accurate, timely, and verifiable financial transactions for the
University that they possibly can, we ensure that the financial
statements produced for the University are truly reflective of
the economic status of the Parking and Transit
Department. This contribution may seem small, but it is
important. By providing to the University an accurate and
reliable picture of the financial status of PTS, the University is
able to make sound decisions regarding the future of parking at the
University and, therefore, the University as a whole.
