Darci Nagy is a Special Events Manager in the Office of University Events and Protocol with over 20 years of experience. In 2006 she joined the Office of Special Events where she executed a wide range of events spanning across the four Phoenix Metro campuses, including VIP receptions, groundbreakings, building openings and university partnerships. Darci works closely with the Office of the President and the Office of the University Provost on events that further the mission of the university and are attended by high profile guests and university administration, deans, directors, faculty and staff. In 2014, she took over the management of ASU Open Door opendoor.asu.edu, a large-scale, high profile event that takes place at each of ASU’s campuses. Under Darci’s management, this annual event has grown in attendance and university participation and has been identified as a signature event of ASU. In recent years, she has assisted with transitioning the Office of Special Events into the Office of University Events and Protocol. In 2019, Darci became a part of University Ceremonies, a team within the Office of University Events and Protocol, where she assists with ASU’s graduation ceremonies in addition to her event management role.
