Johannah Glover is a Clinical Professor and Program Coordinator of the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation Master in Aging program, at Arizona State University. Currently teaching in the DNP and MS in Aging programs. She completed her Ph.D. at Oregon Health and Science University, in Nursing Research and specializing in Gerontological Nursing Research and Research Methodology. Her postdoctoral studies were at the Medical University of South Carolina in the College of Medicine Department of Mental Health and Aging and the Department of Biometry, Epidemiology, & Informatics. Areas of expertise are in Gerontological Nursing and clinical research.
Research interests include developing interventions that will assist family caregivers with providing care to persons with dementia. The interventions are designed to reduce caregiver strain and promote quality of care for persons diagnosed with dementia. Research has included bathing and sleep studies targeting family caregivers of persons with dementia.
She currently serves on the ASU Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation Personnel Committee and President of Downtown Campus Senate, serving on the Senate Executive Board, University Academic Council, and the Arizona Faculties Council. Former chairperson of the Student/Faculty Policy Committee and past member of the Senate Committee on Committees. Currently, serves as a member of the board of directors of the National Gerontological Center for Nursing Excellence. Before being elected to the board, served as one of the co-chairs of the National Gerontological Center for Nursing Excellence's 2021 Leadership Conference Planning Committee. Vice President of the board of directors Disciples of Arizona Homes, overseeing a low-income housing complex for disabled and older adults. Past chairperson of the Board of Directors of The Area Agency on Aging Region One/Maricopa County. Serve on Board of Directors of National Coalition 100 Black Women/ Phoenix, as the corresponding secretary. Lastly, served in the role of past chair of the African American Advisory Committee to the Tempe History Museum. Serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Gerontological Nursing Research. She is a 2021 inductee of the American Academy of Nursing, from the state of Arizona.

Interested in developing and testing caregiving interventions that help family caregivers better care for persons with dementia at home or in longterm care settings and ease caregiving burden. Also, increasing exercise in community dwelling older adults .
